OE Style Fender Flares
What Are OE Style Fender Flares?
OE style fender flares follow the shape of the factory wheel opening and sit close to the body. They add a small amount of coverage (Bushwacker lists about 0.5 to 0.6 in. on its F-150 sets) and suit owners who want a clean look or need to cover a damaged wheel lip. "OE style" means factory-shaped; these are aftermarket parts, not factory parts.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Clean, factory-like look; least visible style; good for covering a rusted or dented lip.
Cons
Least added coverage; may not be enough for much larger tires.
Does It Need Drilling?
Most OE style sets mount in factory holes. Some 2015-2017 F-150 sets exclude trucks with fender-mounted lane sensors.
